2. The Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Provide

• Identity Data: First name, last name, birthday, gender, and age. Note: only your name initials are displayed to other users, never your full name.
• Work Email: Used solely for one-time workplace verification. We do not store your work email after verification is complete. We will never send marketing emails, newsletters, or any other communication to your work email.
• Contact Email: A personal email address used for account communication and notifications.
• Profile Data: Your photos, bio, interests, verified company name, and dating preferences.
• Content Data: Messages sent to other users and photos uploaded to your profile.

2.2 Data We Collect Automatically

• Location Data: GPS coordinates (with your permission) to show you potential matches in your area.
• Device Data: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and Firebase Cloud Messaging token (for push notifications).
• Usage Data: How you interact with the App, including features used, profiles viewed, matches made, and time spent on the App.
• Log Data: IP address, access times, and crash reports.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Verify your employment at an approved company.
• Display your profile to potential matches (showing only your name initials, photos, bio, verified company, and preferences).
• Recommend potential matches based on your location and preferences.
• Facilitate chatting and matching between users.
• Send you notifications about new matches, messages, or App updates.
• Enable the "Hide from Coworker" feature to hide your profile from users at the same company.
• Enforce our Terms & Conditions (detecting and banning abusive users).
• Improve and optimize the App's performance and user experience.
• Respond to your support requests.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We may share your data with:

We will never share your work email with anyone, including other users, as it is deleted after verification.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS).
• Secure cloud infrastructure through Google Firebase.
• Access controls limiting who within our team can view user data.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

• We keep your data only as long as you have an active account.
• Your work email is deleted immediately after one-time verification.
• You can delete your account at any time directly within the App settings.
• Upon account deletion, your profile, matches, messages, and photos are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.
• Some anonymized data may be retained for analytics purposes and cannot be used to identify you.
• Data required for legal obligations or dispute resolution may be retained as required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (you can also do this directly in the App).
• Portability: Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Opt-out: Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
• Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

8. California Residents (CCPA)

9. Location Data

We collect your location data only with your explicit permission. Location data is used to show you potential matches in your area. You can disable location sharing at any time through your device settings. Disabling location may limit the App's ability to show you nearby matches.

10. Push Notifications

We may send you push notifications about new matches, messages, or App updates. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.

11. Third-Party Links

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal data.

12. Children's Privacy

GetSetBae is restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it immediately. If you believe a minor is using the App, please contact us at support@getsetbae.com.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
